A wistful campus comedy set at Delhi's School of Planning & Architecture, following a group of final-year students and one oddball dreamer determined to green the Indian desert. Written by a pre-fame Arundhati Roy and featuring Shah Rukh Khan in one of his earliest screen roles, it was Bobby Bedi's debut production — shot for roughly twenty thousand dollars on location at the architecture school where Roy herself had studied. After a single television broadcast the film survived for decades only through bootleg copies; in 2026 a 4K restoration by Film Heritage Foundation premiered in Berlinale Classics to a standing ovation, returned to Indian cinemas nationwide on 13 March 2026, and went on to the New York Film Festival.
