Mangal Pandey: The Rising

A lush historical epic about Mangal Pandey, the sepoy whose defiance in 1857 lit the fuse of the Indian Rebellion against the East India Company. With music by A. R. Rahman and Aamir Khan in the title role after a three-year screen absence, the film marked one of the most ambitious productions of its era.
